About me
If writing recipes comes easy to me, talking about me is a little less so. Then I'll start with an episode that every now and then people at home remind me of, making fun of me.
A few Christmases ago, while making croquembouche (a pile of cream puffs supported by caramel), I wondered how big I should make the first round of puffs.
I immediately took pen and paper to calculate the best conical geometry to optimize the puffs I had available.
My brother, also an engineer, joined me in the calculation and acted as "director of works", guiding me in the arrangement of one puff after another...the only one to give me this satisfaction. The rest of the family considers me obsessively meticulous. But then again, as much as I agree that a cake must be good, I believe that in pastry making, the eye also wants its part.
My eye for photographs, however, is lacking and fortunately my saintly almost-husband often remedies this. He also encouraged me to start this blog, even if the exhortations of friends, over the years, have been a good foundation.
I'm embarking on this new adventure, committing each week to share with you the secrets of my creations.
